DOG MEADOW WILL BE CLOSED ON THESE DATES FOR PROPERTY MAINTENANCE:

All dogs require a confirmed booking. We do not accept walk-ins. All reservations/bookings must be made via email and confirmed via email. If you do not have an email confirming a reservation for specific dates, you do not have a reservation. 

Also note that, due to our process and space, last-minute requests may not be possible, especially with new guests.

Here are our requirements:

• Do not send us your records. 
• Do not send us a photo of your dog.

• As of December 1, 2022, due to insurance and liability issues, we regret that we can no longer accept dogs of the “bully breed” classification or mixed breeds that have the appearance or characteristics of one of these breeds. 

All dogs taking part in Dog Meadow’s daycare/boarding must be up-to-date on 

• Rabies
• Bordetella
• Distemper
• Canine Influenza

Please do not send us your records. Dog Meadow will contact your veterinarian. Vaccination records are accepted only from the veterinarian’s clinic. However, it is your responsibility to check with your vet to ensure that your dog meets our requirements. 

All vaccinations must be administered at least one week prior to your dog’s arrival at Dog Meadow. Social boarding situations such as ours usually require additional vaccinations than those routinely given by a veterinarian. Canine Influenza is a vaccine that is not routinely given and is required by Dog Meadow. (Please note that the Canine Influenza vaccine, if given for the first time, is a two-part vaccine administered several weeks apart. This will delay the time in which your dog can join our pack.) 

• Be 12 MONTHS of age or older. No exceptions. (Requests asking us to make exceptions will be ignored.)

• NEUTERED or SPAYED. NO EXCEPTIONS. 

• Must be HOUSEBROKEN. Please read our Terms and Conditions for more information.

• All new dogs require A TRIAL DAY. NO EXCEPTIONS. A trial night might be necessary based on how your dog does on his trial day. Please read our FAQs and Terms and Conditions for more information regarding trial days.

• Depending on your dog's boarding experience, one night’s stay prior to boarding for any long period may be required. Based on availability, this may delay your reservation. Please read our terms and conditions for more information.

• A negative fecal (stool) test result within the year is also required. Additionally, if your dog has experienced any soft stool, diarrhea, or signs of digestive illness, a fecal examination should be performed to ensure good health.

• Residents of the Town of Washington, NY, must have proof of license. The town will be called to confirm proof.

• We DO NOT accept dogs that show or have shown aggression toward other dogs. NO EXCEPTIONS. 

The health of our dogs is of utmost importance. Proof of vaccinations is mandatory. Your veterinarian will be a reference and will be contacted to confirm up-to-date vaccinations. If there are health issues with your pup, we appreciate you reaching out to your veterinarian and providing permission for Dog Meadow to discuss any health issues that your dog might have. We will contact your vet for proof of Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella as well as Canine Influenza. We also highly recommend a flea/tick and heartworm regimen as recommended by your veterinarian. As stated above, DO NOT send us your records. Dog Meadow will contact your veterinarian. Vaccination records are accepted only from the veterinarian’s clinic. However, it is your responsibility to check with your vet to ensure that your dog meets our requirements.
